The tour programs takes you to all those places where Lord Buddha spent time during his life and also to some of the places that are very important landmarks for preserving Buddhist architecture such as Aurangabad and Saanchi ,thus making this tour a comprehensive trip covering most of the Buddhist relics and architecture in India and Nepal.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrival Mumbai
Arrival Mumbai by International flight, meeting and assistance and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02 : Mumbai / Aurangabad
Breakfast at hotel. Morning excursion to Elephanta Caves. Lunch at city restaurant. After noon city tour visiting Prince Of Wales Museum and Dhobi Ghat. Transfer to airport to board evening flight for Aurangabad. Arrive and transfer to hotel. O/n at hotel.

Day 03 : Aurangabad / Ellora
Excursion to Ellora caves built built 600-1000AD has an amalgamation of 34 caves of buddhist, Hindu & Jain religion. Return and O/n at hotel.

Day 04 : Aurangabad / Bhusawal / Bhopal
Proceed for the sight seeing of famous caves of Ajanta. After that drive to Bhusawal railway station, board the Karnataka Exp. for Bhopal.

Day 05 : Bhopal / Saanchi / Agra
Arrival Bhopal late in midnight, assistance and transfer to hotel. Check in and overnight at hotel. After breakfast, proceed for Saanchi for the sight seeing. After sight seeing at Saanchi or Bhimbetka, return back to hotel for the lunch.Transfer to railway station to board Buddha Temple, Bodhgaya TourismShatabdi Exp. for arriving at Agra , transfer to hotel for overnight.

Day 06 : Agra / Delhi
After breakfast,visit the Taj Mahal & Red Fort. Lunch at hotel and proceed to Delhi by surface. O/n at hotel.

Day 07 : Delhi / Patna
Morning Delhi city tour visiting Rajghat-cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi, Red Fort, India Gate & Qutub Minar. Board the Rajdhani Exp. at 5 p.m. for Patna. O/n at train

Day 08 : Patna / Bodhgaya
Arrive Patna , proceed by road to Bodhgaya where lord Buddha received enlightment under the holy Bodhi tree. Enroute visit Nalanda - the famous ancient University & Rajgir – important for Buddhists religion. O/n at hotel in Bodhgaya.

Day 09 : Bodhgaya
Visit the temple & Bodhi Tree. O/n at hotel in Bodhgaya.

Day 10 : Bodhgaya / Varanasi
Proceed for Varanasi by road. Arrive and overnight at Varanasi hotel.

Day 11 : Varanasi / Kushinagar
Stupa, Kushinagar Tours & Travels Morning visit to Ganges, enjoy the boat ride and view the burning ghat. Half day city tour plus visit Sarnath where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Proceed to Kushinagar by road. Arrive and overnight at hotel.

Day 12 : Kushinagar / Sravasti
Kushinagar where Lord Buddha attained Nirwana. Visit the temple. Proceed to Sravasti. Arrive and O/n at hotel.

Day 13 : Sravasti / Lumbini
Visit the famous Sahet & Mahet and ruins of the Buddhist temple. Then proceed to Lumbini in Nepal , the birth place of Lord Buddha by road. Arrive and overnight at hotel.

Day 14 : Lumbini / Kathmandu
Visit the temple, stupas and the holy tank. Then proceed by road to Kathmandu. Arrive and Overnight at hotel.

Day 15 : Kathmandu
Excursion to Dhulikhel - one of the major points for viewing the beauty of Himalayan Ranges during sunrise. Afternoon tour of the Kathmandu visiting Swayambhunath Stupa ,Buddhanath ,Pashupatinath and Hanuman Dhoka. O/n at hotel.

Day 16 : Buddhanath Stupa, Kathmandu Travel Holidays Kathmandu
Transfer to International airport to board flight for onward destination.
